The Arizona Cardinals received the opening kickoff.

The first play for the Cardinals was a 2-yard pass from Josh Dobbs to Trey McBride. The second play was much better as Dobbs ran 44 yards. The drive stalled there and Arizona settled for a 39-yard field goal from Matt Prater.

Dallas couldn’t move the ball on its first possession. Penalties for a false start and a delay of game backed the Cowboys up, so they punted from their own 20.
