The James Beard Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that celebrates American food culture, honored several establishments and professionals throughout Texas. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the James Beard Awards, in which a total of 39 names were recognized as semifinalists from the Lone Star State.
“Considered to be among the nation’s most prestigious honors, the James Beard Awards® recognize exceptional talent in the culinary and food media industries, as well as a demonstrated commitment to equity, sustainability, and creating a culture where all can thrive,” the foundation’s website says.
