Sunday Funday: Red, White, and Blue Tie Dyeing – 365 Things Austin

Published

on

The Neill-Cochran House Museum invites families and children of all ages to get creative at their next Sunday Funday! In honor of early Austinites who once made their own clothes—and in celebration of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary—this month’s hands-on activity features red, white, and blue T-shirt dyeing on the museum lawn.

All dyeing supplies and instruction will be provided. Guests can bring a shirt from home or purchase one on-site—$5 for a plain white tee or $20 for a branded NCHM shirt from the gift shop.

No reservations are needed. Participation is free for kids 12 and under with a paid adult museum admission ($8 for seniors, $10 general). NCHM members always receive free entry. Drop by anytime between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM; museum tours will be available during the event.
