One firefighter injured after Northeast Austin structure fire
AUSTIN, Texas — The fire occurred on the 7300 block of Berkman Dr., and was reported by the Austin Fire Department just before 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Reports of a victim inside the structure led to an aggressive primary search under heavy fire conditions, no occupants were ultimately found.
The injured firefighter was transported by Travis County EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
The structure was determined to be vacant. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
