Man shot and killed at an apartment complex in Northeast Austin, suspect is in custody
AUSTIN, Texas — A man was shot and killed at the entrance of an apartment complex in Northeast Austin Friday Afternoon.
The Austin Police Department responded to a shooting call at 3:34 p.m. at an Apartment complex located at the 10100 block of Middle Fiskville Road, which is near I-35 and Runberg Lane.
When officers arrived, they found a male with obvious gunshot wounds outside of the entrance of the apartment complex. Officers performed life-saving measures. Austin-Travis County EMS transported the individual to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses were interviewed by detectives. Police detained a person of interest.
The Austin Police Department says there is no current threat to the general public.
