COLLEGE STATION— The transfer portal officially opened at midnight on Dec. 9, and the Texas A&M football program is off and running, scheduling impact players to be on campus this weekend.

Former Georgia Bulldogs starting cornerback Julian Humphrey is officially visiting A&M, he tells the Austin American-Statesman Monday.

Humphrey stepped away from the Bulldogs earlier in the season and has been an obvious potential target for the Aggies since the regular season ended. The 6-foot-2-inch cornerback confirmed with the Statesman his intentions to visit this upcoming weekend.

Texas A&M appears to be the first of his scheduled visits, and if the Aggies want to bring him into the fold, they may need to be aggressive in their approach to secure the playmaker’s commitment.

Humphrey finished his time at Georgia with 23 appearances, 21 total tackles, and one five pass defensed.

Before joining the Bulldogs, Humphrey was a four-star prospect, ranked No. 13 cornerback in the 2022 class.
