ATCEMS medivacs patient after 20-foot fall from cliff

A helicopter was known as in to rescue a rock climber who had fallen from a cliff in Dripping Springs on Saturday afternoon.

Medics had been dispatched to the scene after receiving reviews that the affected person had fallen from a 20-foot cliff.

The affected person’s fall had been partially damaged by belay ropes, leading to a non-life-threatening decrease extremity harm.

Medics with STAR Flight, a helicopter EMS program, situated the affected person and moved them to a hoist location. The affected person was then safely evacuated by helicopter.

The affected person is being handled at Dell Seton Medical Middle.
