Watch GOP gubernatorial debate between Kemp, Perdue

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and prime Republican challenger David Perdue met Thursday evening for a debate forward of the first.

Information 12′s Richard Rogers was on the panel of journalists asking questions.

It was the second of three scheduled debates as Perdue, Kemp and different Republicans attempt to persuade voters to appoint them within the upcoming major.

The first can be Could 24, however counties can start mailing absentee ballots Monday, when in-person early voting begins.

Perdue is endorsed by former President Donald Trump, who has been targeted on defeating Kemp, who refused to overturn election outcomes displaying Trump misplaced the presidential vote in Georgia.

Kemp has maintained a lead in fundraising and within the polls to this point as he seeks a second time period. He’s presently engaged in a bill-signing tour that included approval Thursday of a package deal of conservative training legal guidelines.

Apart from Kemp and Perdue, the first contains Republicans Catherine Davis, Kandiss Taylor and Tom Williams.

A runoff can be held June 21 if wanted.

The winner of the GOP nomination will face off in opposition to Democrat Stacey Abrams within the governor’s race.

The ultimate debate will start at 7 p.m. Sunday, hosted by the Atlanta Press Membership and aired by Georgia Public Broadcasting.
