Upside of Downs holds Christmas party for Augusta community
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – On Saturday night, the Upside of Downs held its Christmas party at the Spring Lakes Club House.
The nonprofit benefits people and families with Down syndrome on the Augusta side of the river.
They help provide support and a place to experience community to families.
Organizers say they had about 100 people at the Christmas party. They also had a visit from Santa.
Ahead of Christmas and the new year, Upside of Downs wants those in the community to know what their nonprofit is about.
“If there is anyone that is looking for an interaction with the Down Syndrome community. If there are new people moving to the CSRA that don’t know about us, please follow our Facebook page. We are welcome to anyone who wants to join our community,” said Vice President of Upside of Downs Stevie Rodriguez.
