Swainsboro man sentenced in alleged drug trafficking conspiracy
Justin Fields, 40, was the subject of a multi-agency investigation known as “Operation Wheat Fields,” named for Fields and an alleged conspirator in a parallel case, Jayson Wheatley of Augusta. Prosecutors argued Fields and Wheatley each worked with inmates to transport and distribute methamphetamine and heroin into Richmond and Emanuel Counties.
