Progress made on downtown mural by Augusta University students
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – There has been more progress made on the mural by the Augusta University students, faculty and staff.
It’s now the third week they have been painting the mural.
The students helped come up with the design after months of planning.
We spoke with an art professor a few weeks ago about the project.
“So, we’re trying to tie together all things Augusta and a bit of Augusta University. We’re trying to find a place students can come down and take a picture in front of, social media posts and everything, kind of integrating our students into the downtown area as well,” said Cyndy Epps.
It’s at the corner of Reynolds Street and 11th Street.
They say they are hoping to finish it this weekend.
