AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The University of Georgia softball program has appointed Karly Heath as the next Player Development Coordinator.

Heath attended North Augusta before playing for South Carolina and later as an outfielder at Louisiana.

The CSRA native spent last season as the Ragin’ Cajuns graduate assistant.

Coach Tony Baldwin said in a statement to UGA, “Karly is a go-getter and someone who makes our program better. She was a standout player in the SEC and the Sun Belt Conference, including being named Conference Player of the Year in 2023. She was an outstanding pitcher and hitter throughout her college career. Her experience on both sides of the ball will be valuable in helping us develop our team.”
