AUGUSTA, Ga. –
Severe storms knocked down trees and power lines in multiple counties across the CSRA Thursday evening. Multiple families across the CSRA are waking up Friday morning without power due to the storms.  

As of Friday morning, Georgia Power reports nearly 200 customers without power in downtown Augusta near Greene Street. In East Augusta as of 4 a.m., Georgia Power reports more than 300 customers are without power.

Georgia Power’s outage map also shows hundreds of customers are without power in the Walton Way, Glenn Hills, Breeze Hill and Richmond Hill Road areas.

As of 4 a.m., Dominion Energy reported more than 500 customers without power across the CSRA. Aiken Electric and Jefferson County Cooperatives were also reporting numerous power outages as of Friday morning.

Local emergency management and National Weather Service storm spotters confirm several damage reports between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursday evening.  

In Lincoln County, reports show trees fell into a roof of two homes near Broad River Scenic Drive.

Storm spotters reported a large tree downed and blocking the road Thursday evening on River North Drive near Gordon Highway at the Georgia-South Carolina border.

Barnwell County dispatch reported numerous trees down in the Blackville area. 

Trees were reported down on Saxon Road near Highway 56 in Burke County Thursday. Burke County dispatch also reported trees down on Clark Place Road near Highway 24.

In Edgefield, Richmond and Aiken Counties, dispatch reported widespread trees and power lines downed.

There is also a report of part of a roof blown off of a boat shed on Strom Thurmond Lake and multiple trees down in a neighborhood.
