AUGUSTA, Ga. –
Leidos, a Fortune 500 science and technology leader partnered with AUSA Greater Augusta- Fort Gordon Chapter to present a check to Augusta Technical College on Wednesday.

Augusta Tech received a 4-thousand-dollar grant to support their youth STEM and Manufacturing Camp.  

Leidos and AUSA’s donation will support the expansion of the camp to provide more hands-on learning for STEM and manufacturing concepts.

Augusta Tech Officials say that they want to promote STEM and Manufacturing careers because of the shortage of youth pursuing education n those career fields. 

This camp aims to inspire kids to consider education and a career in these fields through interactive lessons.

This camp is open to 12- to 14-year-olds. There are still spots available, the next session will be held on July 18th – 20th.
