AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Harlem High School’s eSports Coach Brad Williams was presented a GHSA statewide honor on Tuesday night at the school board meeting.

Williams is on the GHSA advisory council helping grow eSports in Georgia high schools.

He says he is surprised to see this honor and is happy to see how much eSports has grown in the state.

“I think the first season we competed there were maybe like 80 schools. Now there are probably over 200 in Georgia who compete in eSports at the Varsity level and just so seeing that growth is amazing. It’s not something other programs and extracurriculars can do,” said Williams.
