Broad Street construction causes lane closures in downtown Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Broad Street Improvement Project is continuing through downtown Augusta, with ongoing work impacting traffic flow in several areas.
Crews are working in the center lanes between 7th and 8th streets as part of continued median construction.
The inside lanes are currently closed. Outside lanes remain open in both directions.
Crews are also working on sections of Broad Street between 12th and 13th streets.
In this section, outside lanes are closed, but inside lanes remain open.
The sidewalk is back open and all businesses are accessible.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to use caution in work zones and follow posted signs.
