Augusta Teen, 15, is Fatally Shot Outside Gas Station

Richmond County authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy on Thursday outside a convenience store on Windsor Spring Road.

The victim, Jordon Gaynor of Augusta, was shot outside the Get-N-Go at 2350 Windsor Spring Road in Augusta.

“Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim who had been shot at least one time. The victim succumbed to his injuries,” sheriff’s Sgt. John Perry said in a press release.

No suspect or motive has been announced.

In an unrelated shooting, deputies responded to the 2500 block of Henry Street in Augusta at 9:40 p.m. in reference to a shooting. They found a woman who had been shot at least once and a man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The female was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injury. The male succumbed to his injury.
