Over the weekend the Augusta African American Historic Society unveiled a monument on the nook of Phillips Road and Laney-Walker Boulevard. It’s in honor of Reverend A.C Griggs. He labored with Lucy Craft Laney on the Haines Regular and Industrial Institute, which is now often known as Laney Excessive.
