Augusta Commission receives emergency request for mold remediation at probate office

It’s not the first time this year that the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has brought an emergent request like this before the body. In April of this year, Augusta Commissioners voted to pay $500,000 for “emergency” repairs and replacement of appliances in the Charles B. Webster Detention Center. Before that, millions of dollars in repairs to the roof, locks and camera security systems were completed in 2021.
