Augusta 17-year-old arrested, accused of stabbing his dad

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 17-year-old is in jail after allegedly stabbing his dad, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Steven Noah Cliett was wanted for an aggravated assault incident that happened on the 1900 Block of Walker Street on Sept. 22, according to the agency.

Richmond County deputies were searching for the teen considered armed and dangerous in September, deputies say.

According to inmate bookings, Cliett was booked into the Charles B. Webster Detention Center on Monday. Officials say he is charged with aggravated assault.

On Sept. 24, deputies were called to Augusta University Medical Center about a past assault. According to the incident report, deputies learned that Cliett allegedly stabbed his dad.

The dad told deputies around 10 p.m. on Sept. 22, they were standing in the front yard when Cliett “rushed him for unknown reasons.”

The report states the dad told deputies he hugged Cliett, and Cliett began stabbing him in the left arm and back area.
