23-year-old killed after being struck by vehicle on Deans Bridge Road
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 23-year-old was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Deans Bridge Road, according to the Richmond County Coroner’s Office.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office says 23-year-old Xavion Wimberly from Hephzibah was hit by a vehicle driving southbound while crossing the road.
Officers responded to the 3200 block of Deans Bridge Road in front of Suz Lounge around 3 a.m., officials say.
Authorities say when they arrived, CPR was in progress and that Wimberly and the vehicle were approximately a half mile away from the incident location.
Officials say Wimberly died on the scene, and an autopsy has been scheduled.
