21-year-old dies days after motorcycle crash in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 21-year-old has been identified as the victim of a crash involving a motorcycle in Augusta, the Richmond County Coroner announced Tuesday.

The Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says he responded to Doctors Hospital on Aug. 4 about a motorcycle fatality.

Bowen says the motorcycle crash occurred on Aug. 1 at Barton Chapel Road and Old Barton Chapel Road.

Daveon Sherrod, of Augusta, was taken to Doctors Hospital by EMS from the scene and was pronounced dead on Aug. 4, at 8:53 a.m., according to Bowen.
