2024 Georgia Trend recognizes Augusta mayor, local leaders
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – City of Augusta Mayor Garnett Johnson and Gray TV CEO Hilton Howell are among the 100 Georgians selected for the 100 Most Influential Georgians for 2024.
This recognition spotlights the leadership and contributions in shaping the future of our communities.
Georgia Municipal Association, GMA, congratulated seven city leaders for their recognition on Thursday.
“These local leaders’ inclusion in Georgia Trend Magazine’s list is a testament to their commitment to their communities and the state of Georgia. GMA congratulates these honorees for their well-deserved recognition and looks forward to their continued contributions to the well-being of Georgia’s cities,” GMA said in a news release.
The following CSRA leaders were honored as 2024 Notable Georgians:
- Thomas Clark: Executive Director of CSRA Alliance for Fort Eisenhower
- Jay Markwalter: Executive Director of Georgia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus
- Sue Parr: President and CEO of Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce
- Cal Wray: President of Augusta Economic Development Authority
- Ben Tarbutton III: President of Sandersville Railroad Company
