1 dead after attempted murder-suicide in Augusta
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating an attempted murder-suicide that happened Sunday night.
According to the report, just after 7 p.m., the coroner’s office responded to the 3400 block of Byron Place for a shooting.
The coroner’s office says a woman was found inside the home with at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:10 p.m.
The husband of the female was inside the home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Coroner Mark Bowen says the male was transported to Wellstar MCG and is in critical condition.
