Travelers face cancellations and delays at Atlanta airport

Some vacationers had been stranded at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Worldwide Airport, caught up in a wave of July 4th journey points.

Atlanta’s airport ready this week for a projected 1.7 million passengers. So as to add to the amount of vacationers, pilots picketed on the airport. Delta pilots say they’re “past exhausted” working to satisfy flight calls for and demanded higher working situations and pay raises.

Nearly all of Saturday’s delays concerned Delta flights. By midday FlightAware confirmed there have been 91 delayed flights and 16 cancellations.

Atlanta-based Delta confirmed about 59 cancellations nationwide and 254 delays.

AAA predicts 47.9 million individuals will journey between Friday and Monday, and about 3.55 million of these will fly. Delta Air Strains even took the weird step this week of warning vacationers that there might be issues over the vacation weekend.
