New York Yankees Trade RP Lucas Luetge to Atlanta Braves For Two Prospects

The Yankees traded reliever Lucas Luetge to the Atlanta Braves in change for 2 prospects, the staff announced on Wednesday evening.

Luetge was designated for task by the Yankees final week, a transfer that made house on the 40-man roster for reliever Tommy Kahnle, who returned to New York in free company this winter.  

Atlanta is sending right-hander Indigo Diaz and center infielder Caleb Durbin to the Yankees within the commerce. 

Diaz, 24, is Atlanta’s No. 22 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. The best-hander posted a 3.08 ERA over 49.2 innings pitched out of the bullpen with Double-A Mississippi this yr. He is a product of Michigan State, drafted within the Twenty seventh-round decide by Atlanta in 2019.
