New police coverage coming to Buckhead
ATLANTA – A brand new initiative will add further officers patrolling the Buckhead group.
The Buckhead Security Alliance has been given police vehicles and plans to rent off-duty officers.
Debra Wathen, who leads the Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods, says the protection will deal with the “edges” of the affluent part of town.
It can embrace areas not already lined beneath a separate group.
“The police division recognized 5 corridors the place they’re having issues like automobile crimes,” stated Wathen.
She stated residents, staff, and guests who come to Buckhead to buy and dine will profit with focused patrols round retail spots.
The Atlanta Police Basis gifted three patrol vehicles for the trouble. The BSA is gearing as much as rent the off-duty police.
“We’d like everybody to participate,” Wathen stated, “by giving just a little so nobody has to pay loads”.
