Man hospitalized after being shot during carjacking, Atlanta police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man was hospitalized after being shot during a carjacking, according to Atlanta police.

Police said the carjacking happened near 1489 Campbellton Road SW around 7:30 p.m. Friday. Officers found a 40-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds. It’s believed by the police that the shooters drove away in the man’s car.

The victim was taken to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing.
