Man arrested in Illinois in connection with deadly northwest Atlanta shooting, police say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man wanted in connection with a deadly June shooting at a northwest Atlanta apartment complex was arrested in Illinois, according to Atlanta police.

Police said Kevin Fox, 23, was arrested in DeKalb, Illinois on Friday. DeKalb is about 60 miles outside Chicago.

Fox is accused of being involved in the death of Jacquez Harris, 21. Harris was found shot to death at the Reserve at Hollywood apartment complex in northwest Atlanta around 11 p.m. on June 3.

Harris’ shooting is just one of three that have occurred at the complex this year.

Fox was reportedly arrested on charges unrelated to Harris’ death. He is currently awaiting extradition to Atlanta.
