Josef Martínez propels Inter Miami to 2-1 win over Atlanta United
FORT LAUDERDALE – Josef Martínez scored his first two objectives of the season to spark Inter Miami to a 2-1 victory over Atlanta United on Saturday night time.
Neither group scored till Martínez delivered on a penalty kick to provide Inter Miami (4-6-0) the lead within the 59th minute.
Martínez prolonged Inter Miami’s result in 2-0 for when he took passes from DeAndre Yedlin and Christopher McVey and scored within the seventy fifth minute.
Atlanta United (5-3-3) prevented a shutout when defender Andrew Gutman scored within the second minute of stoppage time. Brooks Lennon had an help on Gutman’s first objective of the season.
Inter Miami has gained two straight after ending a six-match shedding streak final week with a 2-1 highway win over the Columbus Crew.
