Camp HBCYouth, the educational minority youth summer day camp based on the principles and values of Historically Black Colleges and Universities is coming to Morehouse College. Registration is open and the camp officially runs from June 3-August 2. This year, Foot Locker and the AJ Terrell Foundation have partnered with the camp to bring additional support and programming to the kids. Priced at $200 per camper, scholarships will be awarded to eligible children ages pre-K to 5th grade. The camp offers the unique opportunity to explore cultural heritage and gain exposure to an educational experience and institution designed for the progression of Black people in academics, community, & leadership. Through this early exposure, children gain a deeper understanding of their heritage and history, while developing a sense of pride in their cultural identity, building self-esteem, and developing leadership skills.
