Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn ACL. The procedure was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, the same doctor who performed his 2021 surgery.

The surgery was performed in Los Angeles, where Acuña expects to stay for the next month while he begins the rehabilitation process. Acuña sustained the season-ending injury on May 26 and is hopeful for a full recovery.

Jarred Kelenic didn’t appear in Thursday’s game due to soreness in his wrist. He suffered an injury while going for a fly ball in Wednesday’s matchup in Boston.
