Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. receives $11 million grant for trail construction

ATLANTA, Ga. — The Atlanta BeltLine has been allotted $11 million to help building on two of their multi-use trails.

The Southside Path is slated to obtain $6 million, whereas the Northeast Path will obtain $5 million.

“We recognize the continued help for the Atlanta BeltLine from the Atlanta Regional Fee,” stated Clyde Higgs, President and CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. “The completion of the Southside and Northeast Trails will exemplify true connectivity and supply extra and higher entry to jobs, inexpensive housing, and transit choices.”

The Atlanta BeltLine is among the largest city redevelopment packages within the U.S.

Building on Segments 2 and three of the Southside Path are anticipated to start in September 2023.

Building on Phase 3 of the Northeast Path is anticipated to enter building in 2024.
