Achieve Atlanta receives $8 million donation for work in scholarships, college support for APS students – WABE

Since 2015, Obtain Atlanta has devoted itself to offering scholarships, sources and school advisement to college students in Atlanta Public Faculties. As inflation and the price of residing proceed to rise, the group says getting a postsecondary schooling is important for graduating college students.

Funded initially with a grant from the Joseph B. Whitehead Basis, Obtain Atlanta has supplied greater than $40 million in scholarship funds to a number of thousand college students, catching the eye of the metro Atlanta neighborhood and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, who lately donated $8 million to the group.
