Robot dog joins Arkansas State Police bomb squad

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT/KARK) – A new member is joining the Arkansas State Police bomb squad and SWAT mission team on Monday: a robot dog.

According to content partner KARK, the robot, nicknamed “Buford,” is from Boston Dynamics and costs $282,000.

“We can use this to go into dangerous situations where we won’t have to send an individual,” said Corporal Josh Berry, a bomb technician with the Arkansas State Police.
