HawgBeat – Arkansas basketball suffers big drop in AP Top 25
The Arkansas Razorbacks noticed their greatest drop of the season to No. 25 within the newest replace of the AP Prime 25 ballot.
Arkansas is on a three-game skid, together with two losses to Alabama and Vanderbilt final week — each by double-digits.
This week, the Razorbacks will journey to Missouri for a matchup Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT after which they’ll return house to host Ole Miss on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.
The Razorbacks remained moved all the way down to the fourth highest-ranked SEC faculty and they’re certainly one of 4 SEC groups ranked within the ballot. The others included No. 4 Alabama, No. 9 Tennessee, No. 16 Auburn.
The Hogs had been listed at No. 27 in Monday’s NET rankings, No. 15 in ESPN’s Basketball Energy Index and so they remained out of the ESPN Energy Rankings for the second week in a row. Joe Lunardi has the Razorbacks as a 4-seed in his newest NCAA Bracketology (from Jan. 13) and the opponent he has them matched up with is 13-seed UC Santa Barbara.
