GCU baseball falls to Arkansas in Stillwater Regional

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Cayden Wallace, who hit two house runs, and Michael Turner each drove in three runs and No. 2 seeded Arkansas defeated No. 3 seed Grand Canyon 7-1 on Friday within the Stillwater Regional.

Wallace plated a run when he was hit by a pitch and Turner adopted with a two-run single in a four-run second inning that put the Razorbacks on prime 5-0.

That was loads for Connor Noland (6-5), who scattered six hits in seven innings.

Arkansas (39-18), which ended a four-game dropping streak, faces the winner of Missouri State-Oklahoma State on Saturday after Grand Canyon (41-20) meets the loser.

Wallace opened the scoring with a two-out solo house run within the backside of the primary and did the identical within the fourth. Turner, who had three hits, had an RBI single within the sixth.

Tayler Aguilar led off the fourth with a house run for the Lopes.

UP NEXT

GCU will play No. 4 seeded Missouri State on Saturday at 10 a.m. after the Bears misplaced 10-5 to the No. 1 seeded Oklahoma State Cowboys.
