LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – An emergency alert regarding electrical energy utilization in Arkansas has been lifted.

On Friday, Dec. 23, the Electrical Cooperatives of Arkansas requested members at 5:48 p.m. to instantly restrict the usage of electrical service by the following 24 hours to make sure members obtain a minimum of a minimal of electrical service.

Nonetheless, as of seven:56 p.m., Mel Coleman, CEO of North Arkansas Electrical Cooperative mentioned his firm, together with many different utilities, will discontinue asking for electrical curtailment because the alert was lowered to Stage 0.

The alert was in response to colder temperatures leading to increased electrical utilization.
