Black in boot, but should be ready for Illinois

FAYETTEVILLE — Freshman guard Anthony Black, the one Arkansas participant to start out all 33 video games this season, wore a protecting boot on his left foot Sunday when the Razorbacks gathered to look at the NCAA Event choice present.

Black mentioned he feels “all proper” and damage his foot on Friday evening when Texas A&M beat Arkansas 67-61 within the SEC Event quarterfinals.

“Within the A&M recreation I simply jumped up, tried to get a rebound and landed on someone’s foot,” Black mentioned.

Black mentioned he “little question” might be able to play within the Razorbacks’ NCAA Event opener towards Illinois on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.

“I’m fairly robust by means of accidents,” Black mentioned. “I’ll be prepared.

“I really feel 100% good that I can robust it out. I’m used to taking part in by means of stuff.”

Black is averaging 34.7 minutes to steer the SEC together with 12.8 factors, 5.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists and a pair of.0 steals. He was voted a second staff All-SEC participant and to the SEC All-Freshman staff by the convention coaches.
