Arkansas State men’s basketball lands Lipscomb transfer Cody Head
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – For the third time this offseason, Arkansas State head coach Bryan Hodgson dips into the transfer portal. Lipscomb freshman guard Cody Head committed to the Red Wolves, the Cleveland, Ohio native posted on X Sunday.
The ASUN All-Freshman member appeared in 32 games and started 10, including each of the team’s final 6 games in his true freshman season.
He averaged 8.1 points per game, which rose to just under 10 points per game in conference play. Head shot 53 percent from the field and 35% from 3, scoring a season-high 21 points at Austin Peay in February.
Head joins Arkansas guard Joseph Pinion and Ole Miss forward Rashaud Marshall as the newest A-State commits from the transfer portal. With the commitment, the Red Wolves have two scholarships left to fill.
