Arkansas native becomes first active duty servicemember to become Miss America

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT/KATV) – An Arkansas native is now the first active-duty servicemember to take on the title Miss America.

According to our content partner, KATV, 22-year-old Madison Marsh was representing the state of Colorado when she was crowned.

Marsh graduated in 2023 from the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in physics and is currently enrolled at Harvard University as she continues her education for a Master’s degree in public policy.
