Arkansas House committee forwards bill for flags to be made in America
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A brand new invoice would require any flag purchased by Arkansas taxpayer cash to be made in America. That invoice handed a Home committee on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
In line with our content-sharing companion, the sponsor of the invoice, Rep. Jack Fortner, is a Vietnam veteran who says he acquired the thought from his fellow veterans.
“They mentioned they have been pleased with their flag, they usually wished the flags that flew over our colleges, our Capitol, and our buildings to be made in the US,” Fortner mentioned.
The proprietor of Flag and Banner in Little Rock, Kerry McCoy, says the flags which can be at present on the Capitol are already from the US. She says she usually sells flags to the state and every little thing in her store is American-made.
