Arkansas Gov. Sanders names Mountain Home “Capitol for a Day” on Wednesday
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (KY3) – Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Mountain Home as the next ‘Capital for a Day.’
The Baxter County community will serve as the eighth “Capital for a Day” on Wednesday, January 31. Mountain Home was incorporated in 1888. It quickly grew with the construction of the Bull Shoals and Norfork Dams, allowing workers to settle in the area.
The ‘Capital for a Day’ program gives cities around the state a chance to bring senior state government officials into each town to meet with their local counterparts, ensuring that great services are provided to all Arkansans.
