Arkansas commit Mark withdraws from draft
One of Arkansas basketball’s commitments from the NCAA transfer portal has withdrawn from the 2023 NBA Draft, according to a report.
College basketball insider Jon Rothstein tweeted Tuesday that Houston transfer Tramon Mark will return to school for 2023-24, citing his father. Mark committed to the Razorbacks on April 9.
The 6-5 wing was one of four Arkansas players or portal commitments who declared for this year’s draft while maintaining college eligibility. Louisville transfer guard El Ellis, wing Jordan Walsh and guard Davonte Davis are the others.
May 31 is the deadline for players to withdraw from the draft and preserve eligibility for next season.
Mark did not receive an invitation to the G League Elite Camp or NBA Draft Combine in Chicago this month. He had a pre-draft workout with the Atlanta Hawks on May 8.

In 76 career games at Houston, Mark averaged 9.2 points on 39.2% shooting, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1 steal per game. He started all 37 games in 2022-23 and put up 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals.
On March 18, Mark scored a career-high 26 points against Auburn in the NCAA Tournament. He added 14 points in the Cougars’ season-ending loss to Miami in the Sweet 16.
Mark committed to the Razorbacks over schools such as Florida, Kansas State and Texas A&M.
