A shooting near the Arkansas River on the North Little Rock side left one person dead and another injured early Thursday, police said.
Officers responded around 3:18 a.m. to the shooting, which happened near 100 Riverfront Park Drive, and located two people who had been shot, according to a news release from the North Little Rock Police Department.
One of the victims, a man, died at the scene and the other, a woman, was in critical but stable condition in an area hospital. Police did not identify either of them on Thursday.
The address given for the crime scene is immediately adjacent to the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, where the USS Razorback submarine is docked.
