US Supreme Court says Alabama can carry out execution

ATMORE, Ala. (AP) — A divided U.S. Supreme Court docket says Alabama can proceed Thursday night time with the execution of an inmate convicted in a 1999 office capturing.

Justices in a 5-4 determination vacated an injunction that had prevented the deadly injunction of Alan Miller from going ahead.

Decrease courts had blocked the deadly injunction after Miller’s attorneys stated the state misplaced his paperwork requesting another execution technique.

Miller was convicted of killing three individuals in a 1999 office rampage.
