An Alabama freshman defensive again has admitted to fleeing from legislation enforcement when he put the pedal to the steel and reached speeds of 141mph final week, based on a police report. Tony Mitchell, a five-star recruit and prime 150 prospect, was arrested Wednesday in Florida on a cost of marijuana possession with intent to promote and/or distribute. His passenger, Christopher Lewis, is going through the identical cost along with carrying a hid firearm with no allow. Based on a police report reviewed Monday by AL.com, Mitchell admitted he fled from sheriff’s deputies in Holmes County, Florida, “claiming Mr. Lewis informed him to ‘punch it.’”

The automobile was later stopped, with a search turning up 226 grams of marijuana, greater than $7,000 in money, the loaded gun, and a set of scales, based on the report. There was a odor of marijuana coming from the automobile, the arresting officer wrote, including Mitchell “appeared to have a sluggish and/or delayed response answering questions” and his eyes had been “crimson and glazy.” The defensive again is now suspended from all crew actions, Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban mentioned Monday, per AL.com. “You have to be answerable for who you are with, who you are round and what you do,” he added, per the Athletic. “There is not any such factor as being within the mistaken place on the mistaken time.” (Learn extra Alabama Crimson Tide tales.)
