After leading the Philadelphia Eagles to an impressive 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts has been named the official MVP of Super Bowl LIX.

In the win, Hurts would complete 17-of-22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing a pick in what was likely his lone negative of the game. Hurts also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 11 attempts in the win, which led the Eagles team.

Of those two touchdown passes, one also went to former Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith, which was a 46-yard score in the third quarter. The former Alabama quarterback also scored the first touchdown of Super Bowl LIX.

Hurts was one of multiple former Alabama players to take the field Sunday night in the Super Bowl, joined by Smith, Landon Dickerson, Tyler Steen, Eli Ricks, and Byron Young.
