The National Weather Service is warning that dangerous heat will be felt across all of Alabama on Sunday, and most of the state will be under excessive heat warnings.

Air temperatures are expected to top out in the mid- to upper 90s statewide (maybe even a few 100s), and those combined with high humidity levels will make it feel much hotter.

The heat index, or “feels like” temperature, could climb as high as 115 in some areas this afternoon, according to the weather service.
