Decatur man arrested for shooting gas station clerk

DECATUR, Ala. (WAFF) – Officers with the Decatur Police Division have arrested a person in reference to a taking pictures that happened on Friday night.

Officers had been dispatched to the Sunoco Fuel Station situated at 1823 Beltline Highway SW. Once they arrived on the scene they situated the clerk affected by a number of gunshot wounds. The clerk was taken to Huntsville Hospital because of the severity of his accidents.

Throughout the investigation led by the Violent Crimes Unit, 31-year-old Calvin Bridges was recognized because the suspect. Bridges’ location was found early on Friday morning, his dwelling was underneath surveillance till the investigation was full.

On Friday night the DPD SWAT crew executed a search warrant at his dwelling and he was taken into custody with out incident.

Bridges was charged with Assault 1st diploma and booked into the Morgan County Jail on a $100,000 bond set by Circuit Court docket Decide Stephen Brown.
